Pillows

I have had three whiplash accidents and have tried many different pillows for my neck pain over the years. The most comfortable pillow I have found is a buckwheat hull pillow. The pillow can be molded to any shape and will hold its shape. When lying on your back, you can bunch it up under your neck like a cervical pillow, then when you lie on your side, you can bunch it up higher to support your head.

Here is a link to one of the pillows on amazon.com

Intermittent Traction Device

Intermittent traction to the neck pumps the intervertebral discs, helping them to be healthy.

Here are links for a neck traction unit. The unit provides intermittent traction by using a release strap.

Dycem

This is a silicone material that is sticky on both sides. It makes it easy for a therapist to traction tissues, such as with skin rolling.
